Why that name?

​

• Abiding means to dwell or remain in the Hebrew & Greek language.

• Providence means God’s wisdom and love in caring for His creation.

​

In John 15 Jesus describes Himself as the true grapevine and His Father as the gardener.  He explains that just as a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, we cannot produce fruit if we don’t abide (remain, dwell) in Him. As we abide i.e. stay closely connected to God, He leads us in wisdom and cares for us because He loves us so much.

Abiding Providence represents my heart for you as you read and listen to my content. I want to inspire, encourage and equip you to abide in God’s Providence.

  • My desire is to open your eyes to things about God and faith that you have never thought of before. I will inspire and motivate you to change and grow.

• Encouragement

  • I believe that everyone deserves to be free.  Christ has come to set us free Galatians 5:1 I don’t believe true heart change comes from a set of do’s and don’ts.  I believe true heart change comes from allowing God to work in your life.  So, I want to be your cheer squad, championing you along this journey.

• Equipping

  • I don’t want to write and speak fluff that makes you feel good in the moment.  I want to give you the tools that will help you to move forward and succeed.

• Honestly

  • I am going to be raw and honest with you.  I am on a journey too and I am still trying to figure how to live this out.  My heart is that you will be able to learn from my experiences and grow with me.
